Youngest Bodybuilder is Back: Is It Better or Worse Than Child Beauty Pageants?


The world’s youngest body builder is back, and this time his parents have put together an even more disturbing video. His name is Giuliano Stroe, and now he’s six years old — but at the time this video was put together, he was only four. According to his Wikipedia page, last February, Giuliano broke the world record for air push-ups, which are just like normal push-ups, except your feet can’t touch the ground. You know, something a six-year old should never be able to do. This video makes it obvious that his parents push him — you can hear his dad counting reps in a few of the clips. I think we can assume that this man’s parenting skills are questionable in all areas — he’s letting a toddler dance around to 50 Cent. Though that’s better than forcing a kindergartner to do pull-ups while listening to 50 Cent.

In the last few months, several articles have been written about research proving that parenthood makes us less happy; not more. Statistics show that more often than not, the birth of a child gives rise to the death of a marriage, greater likelihood of depression, and an onslaught of anxiety about the resources available to said child.
