Jessica Simpson Detoxes, Then Gets Drunk

There are so many reasons to detox, but given Jessica Simpson’s recent post-cleanse feast and stagger episode, we doubt she’s choosing the right ones. The New York Post reported this morning that the star was seen knocking back sake at Katsuya, a Japanese restaurant in Hollywood, celebrating her first real meal in days after a detoxing cleanse. (Exactly which cleanse she was on, they don’t know, but Simpson has tweeted about her vegan detox diets in the past.) … More »

Gallery: 10 Hollywood Celebrities Who Gained Major Weight for a Movie Role

Last week we gave you 10 celebrities who lost serious weight for a movie role, which, by the way, is a practice we don’t condone. Today, we’re doing the opposite – showcasing ten Hollywood movie stars who’ve gained serious weight for a movie role (or, who are we kidding, in the hopes of nabbing an Oscar, which several of them did). Losing or gaining, we’re not into dramatic weight shifts simply for the sake of a paycheck and royalties, no matter how hefty. It’s simply not healthy, even under the care of a professional. (A few of these celebs actually have experienced lasting negative health effects from their rapid weight gain.) In the cases of most of the gents, you’ll hardly recognize them. But the funny thing is that a few of the women actually look more normal and real after having put some meat on their bones. (Obviously, they were way too skinny to begin with.) Check out our gallery of ten stars who aren’t afraid to transform themselves into slightly overweight people whom Hollywood would never cast in movies in the first place. (And see exactly how much they gained during their hardcore hunt for Oscar.) … More »

Relationships: Could You Date a Personal Trainer?

Check out this post about what it’s like to date a personal trainer by Giulia Rozzi on MyDaily.

We first met in acting class. He, a strong and sculpted health nut. Me, a then chubbier drinker. On our first date as I sucked down a pint of Hoegaarden I asked him if he also wanted a beer, he explained that he wasn’t into empty calories. The first time I slept over his place in the morning he made me a gorgeous egg white omelet with sprouted wheat bread noting how everyday should begin with a rich source of protein. After a few weeks of living together he asked, “so is the only exercise you do just walking?”

Yup, my boyfriend is a personal trainer. … More »
